Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern all orders, installations, and related services provided by Elevated Windows for custom window treatments.

Agreement Overview
By placing an order with Elevated Windows, you (“Customer”) agree to these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all transactions between the Customer and Elevated Windows for the purchase, installation, and related services involving window treatments.

Deposit & Payment Terms
- A 50% deposit is required before any custom order is placed or services are rendered.
- The remaining balance is due upon completion of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- All prices include a 3% convenience fee.
- Customers may save 3% by paying via cash, check, Zelle, or Venmo.
- Payment is also accepted by PayPal and credit/debit card.
- Full payment must be received within 10 days of the final invoice date.
- Late payments may incur a 2% late fee per month on the outstanding balance.

Cancellations, Refunds & Final Sales
- All sales are final.
- Orders for custom window treatments are non-refundable once the deposit has been made and materials have been ordered.
- If the Customer cancels before materials are purchased, the deposit will be refunded in full.
- No refunds are given once installation has been completed.
- If a refund applies, it will be processed within 5 business days.
- If there is a defect in materials or installation, warranty terms will apply instead of a refund.

Warranty & Repairs
Oregon & Washington
Limited Lifetime Warranty
- Valid for as long as the original purchaser owns the home where the products were installed.
- Includes a 5-year motor warranty.
- Includes a 1-year installation workmanship warranty.
- Replaced parts remain covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
Texas & California
3-Year Limited Warranty
- Covers defects in materials, motors, and mechanisms under normal residential use.
What’s Covered
- Manufacturer defects in materials, fabric, hardware, or mechanisms under normal residential use
- Malfunctions or defects in motors, remotes, or shade mechanisms within the applicable warranty period
- Installation workmanship causing improper function (1 year in Oregon/Washington only)
- Hardware failure not caused by misuse or environmental factors
What’s Not Covered
- Damage due to misuse, abuse, or improper operation
- Normal wear and tear, fading, discoloration, or warping from sun exposure or moisture
- Environmental damage including water, mold, fire, pests, or similar conditions
- Repairs or modifications by anyone not authorized by Elevated Windows
- Products installed in commercial or high-use environments unless otherwise stated in writing
One-Time Reorder Discount
If the Customer is not fully satisfied with a custom order, Elevated Windows offers a one-time 40% discount on a replacement order of the same product type, valid within 30 days of the original installation date. This offer may be used for changes in color, size, or style and may require new measurements.
Claim Process
To file a warranty claim, the Customer must notify Elevated Windows within the applicable warranty period and provide a written description of the issue along with supporting photos. If the issue qualifies under warranty, Elevated Windows will repair or replace the item at no charge for parts or labor. Travel charges may apply for service calls beyond a 30-mile radius of Portland, Oregon.
Additional Warranty Notes
- Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and the original installation address.
- Warranty is void if products were installed in unsuitable or unsafe conditions, as determined at installation.
- Removal, reinstallation, or shipping charges may apply unless otherwise specified in writing.
- Warranty duration depends on installation location:
- Oregon & Washington: Limited Lifetime Warranty
- Texas & California: 3-Year Limited Warranty

Installation Services
- Elevated Windows will perform installation services with care and professionalism.
- The Customer is responsible for ensuring the installation area is prepared and accessible on the agreed date.
- This includes removing existing window treatments and moving furniture away from the work area.
- Elevated Windows will not move or reinstall existing window treatments unless agreed to in writing.
- If installation must be rescheduled, at least 48 hours’ notice is required.
- Elevated Windows is not responsible for delays caused by weather, construction, shipping delays, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Ownership & Liability
Ownership of the window treatments transfers to the Customer once installation is complete and full payment has been received. Elevated Windows is not responsible for damage to products or property after installation except as otherwise covered by the applicable warranty.

Care Instructions
Proper care is essential to maintain the appearance and functionality of the products. Customers should follow the care instructions provided with their shades or listed on the invoice. Failure to properly care for the products may void warranty coverage.

Limitation of Liability
Elevated Windows will not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or installation of its products. In no event shall liability exceed the amount actually paid for the products or services provided.

Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the services were performed. For Oregon-based customers, Oregon law applies. For Washington-based customers, Washington law applies. Venue for any dispute shall be the appropriate court in the state where the services were performed.

Changes to Terms of Service
Elevated Windows reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes before those changes take effect.

Photography & Media Release
By agreeing to Elevated Windows’ services, the Customer grants permission for photographs of the installed window treatments to be taken upon project completion and used for marketing purposes, including social media, website content, and promotional materials.
No personal or identifying details of the property or its occupants will be shared. If the Customer does not wish to have photographs taken or used, the Customer must notify Elevated Windows before or at the time of installation.

Force Majeure
Elevated Windows shall not be held liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, supply chain disruptions, labor strikes, pandemics, or similar unforeseen events.

Product Variation Notice
Due to dye lot differences, material variation, display settings, and digital rendering limitations, actual products may differ slightly in color, tone, or texture from samples or photos. Elevated Windows is not responsible for minor discrepancies that fall within industry-accepted tolerances.

Customer-Provided Measurements
If the Customer provides their own measurements for a custom order, Elevated Windows is not responsible for improper fit, installation issues, or related problems resulting from inaccurate dimensions.

Acceptance of Terms
By placing an order, signing a quote, or paying a deposit, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service.
